OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION To build Karma Group's merchandise business into a standalone, profitable revenue line - owning the full lifecycle of every branded physical product across all properties, e-commerce, and the Karma Subito App, while driving brand collaborations that generate credibility, reach, and margin

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Build and manage a group-wide range plan with clear category tiering, seasonal drops, and property-specific product across Bali, Goa, Maldives, Phuket, Cotswolds, and Europe.
- Own sourcing, supplier negotiation, quality control, and inbound logistics across Indonesia, India, China, and Europe.
- Manage the full merchandise P&L; — pricing, landed costs, gross margin, inventory, open-to-buy, and aged stock clearance.
- Drive sell-through across all channels: resort boutiques, beach clubs, e-commerce, Karma Subito App, and wholesale.
- Own visual merchandising standards and train property teams on retail conversion and upselling.
- Identify, negotiate, and deliver brand collaborations and licensing deals with commercial targets agreed before signing.
- Ensure product compliance across all markets — BPOM, halal, alcohol licensing, textiles, and food-contact regulations.

- Build and manage the KEVO merchandise sub-brand tied to its content and social calendar.

REQUIREMENTS

- Degree in Business, Marketing, Retail, Product Development, or a related field preferred.
- 5–8 years in merchandise, retail buying, product development, or brand licensing with transparent P&L; ownership.

- Strong commercial numeracy - landed cost modelling, margin management, and inventory analysis.
- Track record of negotiating and delivering brand partnerships or licensing deals.
- Operational rigour - disciplined approach to stock control, documentation, and process
- Creative judgement - ability to brief and critique product design credibly.
- Influence without authority - ability to drive results through property teams not directly managed.
- Cultural fluency across Indonesian, Indian, Thai, Maldivian, and European contexts.
- Willingness to travel frequently across SEAP, India, Maldives, and Europe.
- Eligible to work in Indonesia or eligible for KITAS sponsorship.
