Job Summary
We are looking for a strong software and platform engineer to join our Production Engineering team in Bangalore as an individual contributor in FA ProductionEng APJ. This role will help build and operate internal platforms that improve how we provision, observe, govern, and troubleshoot engineering infrastructure at scale. The fleet management use cases that give teams a single place to understand and operate the test infrastructure.
If you enjoy building internal platforms that remove friction, improve visibility, and make engineering teams faster and more effective, this role is for you.
Why This Role Is Unique
- This is not a typical application development role. You will work on internal platforms that directly shape how engineering teams consume and manage shared infrastructure. The role spans platform engineering, workflow automation, observability, API-driven services, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
- The right candidate will work on systems such as:
- Self-serviceability workflows and lease-based testbed governance.
- Developer Platform dashboards and APIs used for triage, visibility, and product trend observation.
- Testbed and workflow orchestration across fleet management domains.
Impact
- This role is a high-leverage engineering investment.
- The work will improve how engineering teams provision testbeds, understand failures, operate shared infrastructure, and move faster with less friction. Better platform workflows and better visibility mean faster triage, stronger governance, cleaner lifecycle management, and a better daily experience for internal engineering teams.
What You'll Do
You Will Build
- Platform Workflows and Services:
- You will design and enhance platform services that support internal engineering workflows across Internal Developer Platform(IDP) and adjacent fleet systems. This includes APIs, workflow orchestration, service integrations,
and operator-facing tooling.
- Apply AI-First approach in designing solutions where consumers can also be AI-agents or agentic workflows and not just humans.
- Testbed Governance: You will help evolve the IDP by improving on-demand testbed workflows using AI feedback loops, lease enforcement, policy based governance, lifecycle control, and clean automation.
- Dashboarding and Observability: You will build and improve live dashboards and data visibility workflows that provide a birds-eye view of test runs, support triage, and help teams understand product and infrastructure trends. Work on clean data such that data insights can be fed to AI based workflows that can make real-time decisions on workload placement and forecasting.
- Platform Reliability: You will debug complex workflow and infrastructure issues, improve correctness and operational behavior, and harden services used by engineering teams every day.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain platform services and automation used by internal engineering teams.
- Contribute to IDP, APIs, dashboards, Agentic workflows and supporting data models.
- Improve testbed lifecycle management, lease enforcement, and service integrations for on-demand infrastructure use cases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable, reliable, and secure platform solutions.
- Automate and optimize infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and operational workflows.
- Identify bottlenecks, bugs, and architectural gaps,
and drive robust fixes that improve system behavior and user trust.
- Ensure code quality through design reviews, code reviews, and comprehensive testing.
What You Bring
- Robust software engineering fundamentals and experience building backend or platform systems.
- Experience with Linux systems, automation, and production-grade debugging.
- Experience with Go and scripting for infrastructure or platform automation.
- Experience with APIs, service integrations, and workflow-based systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in ambiguous areas.
- Ability to work across teams and turn operational pain points into reliable platform improvements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building internal platforms, developer productivity tools, or infrastructure services.
- Experience with observability, dashboards, or engineering-facing operational tooling.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, containerized systems, or fleet-scale infrastructure management.
- Experience contributing to large-scale distributed systems or open source ecosystems.
- Experience improving service reliability, governance, and lifecycle control for shared infrastructure.
Ideal Candidate
You might be a great fit if you:
- Enjoy building platforms that make other engineers faster and more effective.
- Like solving practical infrastructure and workflow problems.
- Can move comfortably between coding, debugging, design, and operational thinking.
- Care about clarity, maintainability, and long-term platform leverage.
- Work well across team boundaries and naturally build trust with stakeholders.
