Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Fabrication & Erection Engineer with hands-on experience in mechanical fabrication, erection, commissioning, quality control, and drawing interpretation. The candidate will be responsible for supervising fabrication and erection activities and ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and as per approved drawings and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate mechanical fabrication and erection activities at project sites.
- Manage fabrication of structural and mechanical equipment, piping, supports, platforms, and related components.
- Read and interpret GA drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and engineering drawings.
- Coordinate with fabrication, welding, quality, civil, electrical, and project teams.
- Monitor erection and installation of mechanical equipment and structures.
- Handle pre-commissioning and commissioning activities and support project handover.
- Ensure fabrication and erection work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and coordinate with the Quality Control/Quality Assurance team.
- Identify fabrication defects, dimensional issues, welding problems,



and other quality concerns and ensure corrective action.
- Ensure proper material utilization, measurements, alignment, leveling, and fit-up.
- Monitor manpower, tools, equipment, and daily work progress.
- Prepare daily progress reports and coordinate with project management.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and site requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors whenever required.
- Checking of billing weight as per drawing
- Conversant in reconciliation of steel.

Required Skills

- Robust knowledge of Mechanical Fabrication & Erection.
- Good knowledge of fabrication quality and inspection procedures.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of welding, fit-up, cutting, grinding, alignment, and dimensional inspection.
- Understanding of mechanical equipment installation and commissioning.
- Good project coordination and manpower management skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve site-level technical issues.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Willingness to work at project/site locations.

Preferred Experience

Experience in industrial projects, manufacturing plants, cement plants, mining projects, steel plants, or heavy engineering projects will be preferred.
