Head – Business Security -Manufacturing Business Unit The Head of Business Security for Suzlon Manufacturing BU is responsible for ensuring the security, safety, resilience, and protection of all manufacturing plants, warehouses, R&D; facilities, corporate offices, and critical business operations. The role combines physical security, risk management, investigations, crisis response, governance, compliance, and business continuity to safeguard people, assets, information, and reputation.

This role serves as the primary security leader for Suzlon's manufacturing ecosystem, ensuring uninterrupted operations, asset protection, regulatory compliance, and organizational resilience.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement security strategy for all manufacturing sites aligned with Suzlon business objectives.
- Establish and enforce Minimum Essential Security Standards (MESS) across factories,

warehouses, R&D; centers, and corporate facilities.
- Conduct security risk assessments and vulnerability reviews of all manufacturing and corporate locations.
- Ensure protection of critical assets, machinery, raw materials, finished goods, spare parts,

and high-value inventory.
- Lead theft prevention, pilferage control, and loss reduction initiatives across manufacturing operations.
- Oversee deployment and performance of security manpower, agencies, and contract security personnel.
- Manage security technology including CCTV, Access Control Systems, Turnstiles, Boom

Barriers, Visitor Management Systems, PIDS, and Command Centers.
- Develop and monitor security budgets, CAPEX projects, and OPEX expenditures.
- Ensure robust visitor management and employee access control across all facilities.
- Lead investigations into theft, fraud, misconduct, sabotage, collusion, workplace violence,

and security breaches.
- Coordinate with HR, Legal, Compliance, Audit, and Ethics teams for disciplinary and investigative matters.
- Develop crisis management and emergency response plans for manufacturing and corporate sites.




- Lead response during fire incidents, natural disasters, civil unrest, strikes, protests, and other emergencies.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to security regulatory obligations.
- Liaise with police, intelligence agencies, district administration, customs, and industrial security authorities.
- Implement business continuity measures for critical manufacturing operations.
- Establish security governance frameworks, SOPs, policies, standards, and audits.
- Conduct periodic security audits and management reviews across all facilities.
- Monitor security KPIs and prepare executive dashboards for leadership review.
- Drive digital transformation and automation of security operations.
- Ensure protection of executives, board members, and critical visitors during site visits.
- Develop insider threat management and employee awareness programs.
- Lead vendor due diligence, contractor management, and third-party risk assessments.
- Support enterprise risk management initiatives from a physical security perspective.
- Monitor geopolitical, social, and local threats that may impact manufacturing operations.
- Ensure transportation security for movement of turbines, components, raw materials, and high-value consignments.
- Maintain close oversight of security operations at ports, logistics hubs, warehouses, and manufacturing facilities.
- Develop training programs for security teams, emergency responders, and site leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement through benchmarking against industry best practices.
- Provide regular security updates, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to the

CHRO, COO, CEO, and Executive Leadership Team.
