MANAGING DIRECTOR - INDIA

Location: Mumbai / Pune

Our client, a well-established international marine equipment manufacturer, is looking to appoint a Managing Director India to lead and further develop its business in the Indian market.

This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for business growth, sales strategy, customer relationships and team leadership, working closely with the global organisation to strengthen the company’s presence and market position in India.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the India business and drive sustainable commercial growth.
- Develop and execute the sales and market strategy in line with global business objectives.
- Identify recent market opportunities and strengthen relationships with key customers, shipyards, shipowners and other maritime stakeholders.
- Lead, motivate and develop the India team, fostering a strong performance-oriented culture.
- Manage the sales pipeline, key accounts and commercial performance.
- Work closely with global management, product and technical teams to support business development and customer requirements.




- Represent the organisation at senior levels across the Indian maritime and marine engineering community.
- Ensure effective execution of business plans, budgets and strategic initiatives.

Your Profile:

- Senior commercial/business leadership experience within the marine, maritime, shipbuilding, marine engineering or related industrial equipment sector.
- Atleast 15 years experience in sales management in the marine industry.
- Strong track record in sales leadership, business development and market expansion.
- Experience managing and developing a team.
- Strong understanding of the Indian maritime ecosystem and established relationships with relevant industry stakeholders.
- Commercially astute, entrepreneurial and capable of developing and executing long-term growth strategies.
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
- Engineering or technical education would be advantageous.
