The Mainframe Print Support Administrator is responsible for managing, supporting, and maintaining enterprise mainframe print environments. The role ensures reliable print processing, output management, spool administration, printer configuration, troubleshooting, and operational support for critical business applications running on IBM z/OS platforms.

Required Technical and Qualified Expertise

- 6+ years in mainframe systems support with solid working knowledge of Distributed print software and/or Mainframe print software
- Print software support & Output management
- Strong hands‑on experience in Install, configure , Upgrade and maintenance of mainframe print support products both IBM and ISV
- Knowledgeable of planning activities related to upgrades, development testing, systems architecture and migration planning
- Maintain JES2/JES3 print routing policies (classes, forms,



FSS writers, NJE/NJI routing, VTAM, LTERMs, destinations)
- Configure and tune output queues, writer startup/shutdown behavior, error recovery, and reprint/hold/release workflows
- Manage PSF (Print Services Facility) , provide creation and modification of AFP resources (pagedef, formdef, overlay, page segment, fonts)
- Integrate additional IBM/Vendor ISV print components as required
- Solid understanding of z/OS operations (SDSF, console, JES commands), NJE, TCP/IP print protocols.
- Familiarity with certificate/TLS enablement for IP PrintWay Extended and secured endpoints
- Exposure to capacity planning for spool volumes and print throughput
