About the Program

Nexal IIT’s open collaboration program gives aspiring ML engineers hands-on experience on real-world predictive modeling challenges. Build a practical portfolio alongside our core team on a adaptable schedule.

What You’ll Do

- Data Engineering: Clean and transform structured/unstructured datasets for feature extraction.
- - Model Building: Train, evaluate, and tune supervised/unsupervised algorithms (classification, regression, clustering).
- - Optimization: Conduct cross-validation, hyperparameter tuning, and metric analysis (F1, ROC-AUC, RMSE) to fix overfitting and bias.

Who You Are





- Proficient in Python and core libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
- - Grounded in foundational math (linear algebra, probability) and ML concepts.
- - Bonus: Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, XGBoost, SQL, or end-to-end pipelines.
