About the Role
We are currently seeking a senior network engineer to take ownership of Morae’s global data centre network infrastructure. This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining the stability, security, and performance of our enterprise networking workplace across six global data centres supporting a 24/7/365 production platform. The successful candidate will play a key role in our Data Centre Modernization Program while providing expert troubleshooting across switching, routing, firewalls, WAN connectivity, and network security.
Responsibilities
- Own and support enterprise network infrastructure across six global data centers, including Cisco switching, routing, firewalls, and WAN connectivity.
- Lead troubleshooting of complex network outages, performance issues, and connectivity incidents with minimal reliance on vendor support.
- Perform root cause analysis and produce post-incident documentation and remediation plans.
- Monitor network health using enterprise monitoring tools, including SNMP, Syslog, Cisco FMC, and related platforms.
- Lead technical delivery of the Data Centre Modernization Programme, deploying Cisco Nexus 9300, Catalyst 9200, and Catalyst 8300 platforms.
- Develop migration, cutover, rollback, and validation plans for infrastructure refresh projects.
- Manage Cisco Firepower HA firewalls, firewall policies, NAT, VPNs, DMZs, and security configurations.
- Support Azure vWAN, IPsec VPNs, Cisco Meraki environments, and office connectivity.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, topology diagrams, IP addressing, and configuration backups.
- Follow ITIL change management processes and participate in CAB reviews.
- Work closely with infrastructure, storage, VMware, and security teams on enterprise initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for automation using Python, PowerShell, or Ansible.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to network architecture, capacity planning, and continuous improvement.
