We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer - Java with Microservices to own backend design and raise engineering standards across distributed services. Responsibilities

- Create enterprise-grade applications with Java and Spring Boot
- Lead the architecture and implementation of microservices deployed to cloud platforms
- Develop RESTful APIs and integrate backend services with frontend applications
- Collaborate across functions to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions
- Provide code review leadership and technical guidance to engineering team members
- Ensure architectural decisions align with quality, security, reliability, and compliance requirements
- Apply Agile and DevOps best practices throughout the software development lifecycle
- Administer CI/CD pipelines and support continuous delivery processes
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across the full application stack
- Use containerization and orchestration tooling to deploy and manage services





Requirements

- Extensive 5+ years of experience in design and development using Java 21, Quarkus, and Java/JEE
- High proficiency with Spring Boot, Spring Security, and JUnit
- Solid knowledge of relational databases, including Oracle, Sybase, and PL/SQL
- Proven experience in microservices architecture, Azure Cloud, and Serverless solutions
- Good understanding of Kubernetes, including pods, containers, services, and Istio
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Redis
- Strong capability in RESTful APIs and connecting backend services with frontend applications
- Experience using Git/GitLab CI/CD pipelines and working in Agile teams
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field

Nice to have

- Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and React (including Hooks)
- Familiarity with JavaScript and TypeScript
- Experience in performance tuning and DevOps
- Ability to implement UX designs into responsive, scalable, maintainable UI solutions using accepted standards and patterns
