Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Lead mechanical operations and maintenance of Boiler, Turbine, Generator (BTG) and Balance of Plant (BOP) systems.

- Ensure high plant availability by implementing effective preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance strategies.

- Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot issues related to pumps, compressors, fans, conveyors, valves, and piping systems.

- Plan and execute shutdowns, overhauls, and major maintenance activities with cross-functional coordination.

- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.

- Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, statutory regulations, and environmental norms.

- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians.

- Optimize plant performance parameters such as heat rate, auxiliary consumption, and fuel efficiency.

- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and OEMs for maintenance and project activities.

- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and MIS for operational and audit purposes.





Preferred Candidate Profile

- Solid technical expertise in thermal power plant systems, especially BTG and auxiliary equipment.

- Hands-on experience in rotating equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

- Good knowledge of condition monitoring techniques (vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, etc.).

- Familiarity with SAP / CMMS systems for maintenance planning and reporting.

- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and handle plant operations independently.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

- Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively during plant emergencies.

- Experience in Coal-based / CFBC / WHRB plants is preferred.

Additional Requirements

- Immediate joiners or candidates with short notice periods will be given preference.

- BOE certification is an added advantage.

- Strong communication and coordination skills are essential.
