Location: IMT Rohtak, Haryana
Work mode: Full-time, on-site
About the opportunity
We are developing a precision-manufacturing facility at IMT Rohtak, with capabilities across advanced manufacturing, precision tooling, precious-metal processing, jewellery, watchmaking, metrology and specialist craft.
As the facility moves into commissioning and operations, we are hiring our first full-time finance professional required for the next phase to independently own accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, banking and import-export/trade compliance while helping establish the financial systems on which a larger Finance, Control & Treasury Office will later be built.
This is a hands, on ownership role, not a bookkeeping-only or review-only position.
Core areas: Finance & Accounts, Financial Statements, GST, TDS, Income Tax, Banking, Audit, Import-Export, DGFT, eBRC/BRC, EDPMS, Customs Coordination, Manufacturing Accounting and Finance Operations.
The RoleFor the initial phase, you will operate as BPMM's primary internal finance manager.
You will personally ensure that books, taxes, banking, statutory requirements, audits, trade documentation and financial records remain accurate, timely, reconciled and audit-ready.
As production begins and the finance team expands, this position is expected to evolve into a permanent leadership role within Accounts, Tax, Trade Compliance & Finance Operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial Statements

- Accruals, provisions, prepayments and period-end adjustments
- Fixed assets, depreciation, capitalisation and asset registers
- Trial-balance scrutiny and ledger review
- Month-end and year-end closing
- Preparation/finalisation support for Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement
- Audit schedules, workings and financial documentation
- Management accounts and periodic MIS
- Maintaining clean, complete and audit-ready financial records
Because the factory is under construction, the initial role will also require strong discipline around project/capex accounting, capital work-in-progress, machinery and construction-related payments, vendor advances, fixed-asset documentation and appropriate capitalisation. Tax & Statutory ComplianceOwn or independently coordinate:
- GST, GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and ITC reconciliation
- Export-related GST/LUT/refund documentation
- TDS/TCS, challans, returns and reconciliations
- Income-tax and advance-tax workings
- Tax-audit schedules
- Form 26AS/AIS reconciliation
- E-invoicing and e-way bills
- Tax notices and supporting documentation
- Statutory compliance calendar
- Coordination with CA, CS, auditors and specialist advisers
External professionals may advise or certify where required, but internal ownership should remain with this role. Import-Export & Trade ComplianceStrong import-export exposure is highly valued, especially from jewellery, precious metals or export manufacturing.
Responsibilities may include

- Export incentives/scheme documentation
- Precious-metal/jewellery import-export records and reconciliation
- BJED/FIEO/GJEPC/DGFT/customs coordination where applicable
You are not expected to act as legal counsel or a customs adviser. You are expected to understand the process well enough to own it internally, identify missing requirements, coordinate specialists intelligently and ensure closure.
Banking & Working Capital
- Day-to-day banking and bank reconciliations
- Relationship coordination with banks and AD banks
- Cash-position monitoring and short-term cash-flow visibility
- Payment controls and banking documentation
- CC/OD, term-loan and facility documentation where applicable

- Job-work accounting
- Inventory valuation
- Manufacturing costing
- Product/job costing
- Yield, wastage and variance analysis

- Government-backed financial programmes
A strong finance professional should notice where money, credits, refunds, benefits or entitlements are being lost through weak process or missed follow-up. What Success Looks LikeIn the first 30–60 days
- Management has a clear view of books, cash, liabilities, receivables, taxes and pending compliances
- Statutory and tax calendars are mapped with dates, responsibilities and evidence
- Bank, vendor, customer and key ledger reconciliations are current
- Construction/capex and fixed-asset records are organised and reviewable
- Import-export and banking documentation is systematically tracked
- No important compliance depends on somebody remembering it informally
- Auditor/CA/CS/bank requests can be answered from organised records
- Historical discrepancies and gaps are identified and closed rather than hidden
As the factory approaches production
- Accounting and control systems are ready for manufacturing
- Inventory and high-value-material controls are designed before transaction volumes increase
- Finance SOPs,
approval flows and documentation standards are established
- Manufacturing accounting and costing architecture is being developed
- The incoming finance team can enter a disciplined system rather than rebuild one from scratch
Top Applicant ProfileYou are likely to be a particularly strong fit if:
- You have approximately 8–15 years of hands-on Finance & Accounts experience; exceptional candidates outside this range may also be considered
- You have worked in manufacturing, export manufacturing, jewellery, gems, precious metals, engineering, automotive components, electronics, pharma or another process-controlled business
- You have personally handled financial-statement closing/finalisation, rather than only supplying data to an external CA
- You have independently handled GST, TDS and audit/compliance
- You can deal directly with banks and understand banking documentation
- You have handled import-export documentation, eBRC/BRC, EDPMS, DGFT, Customs/CHA or export-realisation processes, or have strong adjacent experience
- You are solid in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with Tally/ERP accounting environments
- You notice small inconsistencies and follow them until they are resolved
- You maintain your own compliance calendar and follow-through mechanisms
- You are comfortable being the sole finance professional initially
- You are equally comfortable investigating a ledger discrepancy, speaking with a bank, preparing an audit schedule and coordinating an export-documentation issue
- You are willing to work directly in the books rather than treating detailed accounting as somebody else's job
QualificationsWe will consider
CA | CMA | CA Inter | CMA Inter | M.Com | B.Com with strong relevant experience
Qualification alone will not determine selection.
Depth of actual ownership will.
Particularly Valuable ExperienceExperience in one or more of the following will be viewed favourably:
Jewellery / Gems / Precious Metals | Export Manufacturing | High-Value Inventory | Manufacturing Costing | DGFT | Customs | GJEPC | eBRC | EDPMS | Banking Facilities | Working Capital | ERP Implementation | Finance Process Improvement
Direct precious-metals or jewellery experience is valuable but not mandatory if the candidate brings unusually strong manufacturing/export finance capability.
This Role Is Not For You If
- Your experience is primarily voucher entry
- External consultants determine every compliance requirement for you
- You have mainly prepared GST/TDS/export data for somebody else rather than owning the process
- You are a review-only manager unwilling to work directly in books, reconciliations and supporting schedules
- You expect a large accounts team beneath you from day one
- You are comfortable leaving reconciliations, notices or documentation gaps unresolved
- Your experience is heavily designation-led but light on actual execution
Why This Role Is DifferentYou will be the first full-time finance hire during an important institutional build stage.
The scope is broad now by design.
Once BPMM's Finance Control Office is established, this position is intended to evolve into a permanent leadership role focused on Accounts, Tax, Trade Compliance & Finance Operations, while specialist colleagues are added across financial control, metal accounting, treasury, commercial finance and other areas.
We are looking for someone who values precision, confidentiality, curiosity and institutional discipline, and who wants to help build a finance function rather than merely occupy a seat in one.
