Role Description The Laundry Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at The Den, Bengaluru. This role oversees all laundry operations, including collection, sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and finishing of hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and guest items, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and fabric care.

The Laundry

Manager plans daily workflows, assigns tasks to laundry team members, monitors equipment performance, and coordinates maintenance or repairs to minimize downtime. The role includes managing inventory of detergents and supplies, maintaining cost control and budgeting for the department, and implementing quality checks to uphold brand standards.

Manager collaborates closely with Housekeeping and other departments to meet operational needs, responds to guest requests or concerns related to laundry services, trains and coaches team members, and enforces safety and hygiene protocols.

Qualifications

- Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, task allocation, performance monitoring, and staff training.
- Hands-on experience in laundry services and laundry operations, with knowledge of commercial laundry equipment and processes.
- Ability to manage budgeting and cost control for laundry operations, including inventory and resource planning.
- Customer service skills to handle guest laundry requests, resolve concerns, and maintain a professional, service-focused approach.
- Experience in hotel or hospitality operations, preferably in a premium or luxury property.
- Knowledge of fabric types, stain removal techniques, and quality standards for hotel linen and guest garments.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for reporting, scheduling, and inventory tracking.
- Relevant diploma or certification in hotel management or housekeeping operations is preferred.
- Ability to work versatile schedules, including weekends and holidays, as per hotel operational requirements.
