JOB TITLE: JUNIOR INTERIOR ARCHITECT WITH SALES CLOSER EXPERTISE

We are looking for a dynamic and driven individual who is equally passionate about Residential Interior Design AND Sales Closing. This is not a pure back-office design job. This is a front-end role where you will own the client from the first meeting to final handover.

You should have strong knowledge of materials, excellent client handling skills, and the hunger to close deals.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

You are perfect for this role if you have:

- 1-4 years of experience in RESIDENTIAL interiors only
- You know how to convert a lead into a paying client
- You can handle clients, understand their needs, and explain your design in their language
- You have deep knowledge of interior materials, finishes, and market rates

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE & RESIDENTIAL DESIGN - Core Responsibility

Client Brief & Site Analysis: Conduct detailed client meetings to understand lifestyle, family needs, budget, Vastu preferences, and aesthetic taste. Visit sites for accurate measurement, site analysis, and marking.

Concept Development: Create inspiring mood boards, theme boards, color palettes, and reference images based on client brief.

Space Planning & Layouts: Deliver efficient and ergonomic 2D space planning, furniture layouts that maximize space and functionality for 2BHK, 3BHK, Villas and Apartments.

Technical Drawing & Drafting: Prepare complete set of working drawings in AutoCAD - Floor plans, furniture layout, electrical point layout, false ceiling layout, plumbing layout, flooring layout, kitchen & wardrobe sectional details, elevation drawings.

3D Visualization: Create high-quality 3D views, walkthroughs and renders using SketchUp + Enscape / 3ds Max + V-Ray / D5 Render. Present designs that help clients visualize their dream home.

Design Development: Design complete homes including Living Room, Modular Kitchen, Bedrooms, Wardrobes, TV Units, Pooja Units, False Ceiling, Crockery Units,



and Kids Bedrooms.

Revision & Finalization: Handle client feedback professionally, make revisions quickly and get final design sign-off with complete documentation.

2. SALES CLOSING & REVENUE GENERATION - Most Important KPI

Lead Management: Handle all assigned leads from company - Walk-ins, Instagram/Facebook leads, Justdial, Google, and reference leads. Attend every lead with 100% follow-up discipline.

Consultation to Conversion: Conduct powerful first meetings and design consultations. You must be able to explain design value, not just design.

Pitching & Presentation: Present 2D, 3D and mood boards to clients with confidence and clarity. Explain BOQ line-by-line and justify the pricing.

Closing the Deal: This is your core metric. Convert initial consultations to Design Bookings and Design Bookings to Full Project Closure. You should be comfortable with negotiation and handling price objections.

Sales Target Ownership: Achieve monthly sales targets for Bookings and Order Value. Maintain 40%+ conversion rate from meeting to booking.

CRM & Follow-up: Maintain daily updates in CRM / Excel sheet. Do systematic follow-ups via calls, WhatsApp, and meetings until closure. No lead should be left unattended.

Upselling: Identify opportunities for upselling - premium finishes, extra units, add-on services to increase project value.

3. CLIENT HANDLING & RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

You are the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for your clients from first meeting till handover. Own the relationship.

Build trust and rapport with clients. Handle all types of clients with patience, empathy and professionalism.

Manage client expectations on design, cost, and timelines. Give honest and transparent advice.

Conduct regular client meetings at our experience center and at site. Give professional updates and keep the client informed.

Handle client escalations, concerns, and last-minute changes smartly without affecting project profitability.

Ensure 5-star client satisfaction and generate referrals and Google reviews from closed clients.

4. MATERIALS KNOWLEDGE & SITE EXECUTION COORDINATION

This is non-negotiable. You must know your materials.

Core Material Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Plywood - BWP, BWR, MR grades, HDHMR, MDF, Particle Board, WPC. Laminates - 0.8mm, 1mm, Acrylic, PU, Veneer, Louvers, Fluted Panels.

Kitchen & Wardrobe Hardware: Hettich, Hafele, Blum, Ebco - Tandem boxes, soft-close channels, lift-ups, corner solutions, tall units, etc.

Finishes:



Laminate, Acrylic, PU Paint, Duco, Veneer Polish, Melamine, Back-painted glass, Profile shutters.

Countertops & Surfaces: Granite, Quartz, Nano White, Porcelain slabs.

False Ceiling & Lighting: Gypsum, POP, Grid ceiling, Profile lights, Spot lights, Cove lights, Hanging lights - with basic electrical knowledge.

Vendor & Market Knowledge: Good network of vendors in Chennai market for materials and knowledge of current market rates and new products.

Execution Coordination: Coordinate with factory team, site supervisors, electricians, and carpenters. Share GFC drawings, explain details, and do quality checks to ensure design is executed as per drawing.

BOQ & Costing: Prepare accurate BOQ with 95%+ accuracy. No major cost overrun at site due to wrong estimation.

5. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Visit RGL DECORS experience center and client sites daily as required.

Attend weekly sales and design review meetings.

Stay updated with latest interior trends, materials, and color trends on Pinterest, Instagram.

Support marketing team with site photos, videos, and content for social media.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Degree / Diploma in Interior Architecture / Interior Design / B.Arch

Software Mastery: AutoCAD (Must), SketchUp + Enscape/V-Ray (Must), 3ds Max is a plus, MS Excel for BOQ, PowerPoint for presentation

1-4 Years of proven experience in RESIDENTIAL interiors - Modular Kitchen & Wardrobe design is mandatory

Proven track record of SALES CLOSING in interiors - You must have closed minimum 15+ residential projects

Excellent communication in Tamil & English. Hindi is a plus.

Presentable, confident, client-facing personality

Own Two-Wheeler preferred for site visits
