Role Description The Plasma Physics Research Intern will contribute to experimental and applied research involving plasma physics and its applications in sustainable agriculture and controlled-environment systems.
Day-to-day responsibilities may include literature review, experimental design, data collection and analysis, simulation/modeling support, documentation of experimental procedures and findings, and collaboration with R&D; teams.
The intern may also contribute to exploring plasma-based solutions for applications such as Plasma-Activated Water (PAW), plant growth, nutrient management, water treatment, and sustainable farming.
This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Pilani, Rajasthan.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Physics, with exposure to Plasma Physics, Applied Physics, or related interdisciplinary domains.
- Understanding of plasma physics,
energy–matter interactions, or related experimental concepts is desirable.
- Interest or experience in computational modeling, simulation, experimental design, or plasma-based applications.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to Research and Development (R&D;), including literature review, experimental design, data analysis, and technical documentation.
- Currently pursuing or having completed a degree in Physics, Engineering, or a closely related field (Bachelor’s or Master’s level).
- Proficiency in basic scientific computing tools such as MATLAB, Python, or similar, and data analysis software is beneficial.
- Ability to work in a laboratory environment, follow safety protocols, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and clear written and verbal communication skills.
