Role Description The Senior Pathologist at Dr Remedies Labs in Chennai will provide expert diagnostic reporting across histopathology, cytopathology, and clinical pathology, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clinical relevance. This full-time, in office role involves reviewing and interpreting laboratory findings, validating complex cases, and collaborating closely with clinicians to support treatment decisions.

The Senior

Pathologist will oversee quality control in pathology workflows, support standard operating procedures, and contribute to continuous improvement of diagnostic accuracy and turnaround times.





Responsibilities include mentoring junior pathologists and laboratory staff, participating in case discussions and internal audits, and supporting integration of advanced diagnostic technologies aligned with the company’s quality standards. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of pathology guidelines and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and best practices in patient care.

Qualifications

- Advanced expertise in histopathology, cytology, and clinical pathology, with the ability to independently report complex cases.
- Strong proficiency in diagnostic correlation with clinical findings and imaging, supporting evidence-based treatment decisions.
- Experience with laboratory quality management, standard operating procedures, and accreditation standards (e.g., NABL or equivalent).
- Ability to mentor and guide junior pathologists and technical staff, fostering a culture of accuracy, safety, and continuous learning.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clinicians, laboratory teams, and management.
- Comfort working in a high-throughput, technology-enabled lab environment; familiarity with LIS and digital reporting systems is an advantage.
- MD / DNB in Pathology (or equivalent recognized qualification) with significant post-qualification experience; prior experience in a high-volume diagnostic lab is preferred.
- Commitment to ethical practice, patient-centered care, and adherence to regulatory and professional standards.
