- In the field of research, the University received grants over 5 crores in 2022.
- Ms. Manisha Padhi, alumni of CGU have been appointed as the ADC to The Hon’ble

Governor of Mizoram in 2023 and became the first ever female to hold the position.
- Ms. Swagatika Mohanty, Civil Engineering (2013-17), has bagged the 15th rank in Odisha

Civil Services Exam in 2023 and is now a functional, respectable,



responsible OAS.
- Safia Aktar, Anshu Kumari, and Radhika Rani Panda won the 1st prize at “10-Hour Women

Hackathon” organised by Trithon Triplets 2k23.
- Abhishek Kumar, B.Tech (ECE) awarded the Visweswaraya Prativa Puraskar at Odisha

Technological Conclave, 2023.
- Mr. Praveen Giri won the Silver Medal in the area of Water Technology at World Skills,

Stuttgart, Germany, 2022.
- Mr. Subrat Patel won Medallion of Excellence in the area of Restaurant Services at World

Skills, Stuttgart, Germany, 2022.
- 9 students represented India in World skills 2022 in 7 various Skills.

Where You Come In We are seeking skilled Hardware and Networking Technicians to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot IT infrastructure across our hostel facilities. The selected candidates will be responsible for ensuring seamless internet connectivity, optimizing Wi-Fi coverage, and maintaining the operational integrity of the CCTV security network.

Supervision Details:

Immediate Supervisor: Senior System Manager

Indirect Supervisors – President, Vice President, Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor, Registrar

Working Relationship: All Teaching and Non-teaching staffs of the Department/University

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve daily Internet, Wi-Fi,



and network connectivity issues for

students and staff.
1. Perform routine maintenance, configuration, and repair of network hardware (routers,

switches, access points, and cabling).
1. Install, configure, and service CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR systems, and video storage

devices.
1. Diagnose and resolve computer hardware, peripheral, and operating system errors.
2. Execute periodic site audits to identify and fix Wi-Fi dead zones or hardware bottlenecks

across the hostel premises.
1. Maintain accurate inventory logs of IT equipment, service tickets, and maintenance

schedules. Who Are We Looking For

- Minimum Graduate (Any Discipline), Diploma/ITI in relevant trades.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in networking, hardware repair, and

surveillance system maintenance.
- Strong understanding of LAN/WAN etc. setup.
- Hands-on experience configuring access points, network switches, and Wi-Fi controllers.
- Practical knowledge of CCTV installation, IP camera configuration, and management.
- Ability to crimp Ethernet cables, trace lines, and manage physical rack layout.
- Solid diagnostic and quick problem-solving abilities in high-density user environments.

maintaining hardware, software, and network systems, and resolving technical issues efficiently.
