Purpose of the Job The IT Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the overall IT Operations and Infrastructure function of Eruvaka, ensuring reliable, secure, scalable and cost-effective delivery of IT services aligned with business requirements.
The role provides management oversight across IT Operations, IT infrastructure and workplace technology, IT service management, enterprise IT services and applications, IT assets, vendors and procurement, IT security and governance, audits and compliance, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, IT operational projects and continuous improvement.
The role is accountable for IT Operations planning, resource management, operational governance, risk management, service performance, budget and vendor oversight, while providing leadership and direction to the IT Operations Lead and team. The position works closely with the CIO, business functions, corporate/parent IT teams, vendors and external stakeholders to ensure business continuity, operational resilience and effective IT service delivery.
Responsibilities
- IT Operations & Infrastructure Management: Manage overall IT Operations and infrastructure services, including enterprise networking (LAN/WAN), network architecture, firewalls, switches, access points, connectivity and bandwidth management, endpoints, servers, workplace technology, CCTV, biometric and access-control systems, monitoring, backup and related services. Provide operational oversight of cloud infrastructure and services in coordination with the technical teams responsible. Ensure availability, capacity, performance, security, lifecycle management and operational resilience.
- IT Service Management & Performance: Establish and oversee IT service management processes covering Helpdesk, incidents, service requests, problems, changes, escalations and SLAs. Review operational KPIs, dashboards, recurring issues and major incidents and drive timely resolution and continuous improvement.
- Team Leadership & Resource Management: Lead the IT Operations Lead and team; provide direction, prioritization and escalation support. Define responsibilities and performance expectations, identify resource and skill requirements, support recruitment and development, and ensure cross-training, backup coverage and operational continuity.
- IT Services & Enterprise Applications: Oversee operational administration and support of enterprise IT services and applications, including ERP, service desk, collaboration, project management and other IT tools.
Ensure appropriate access, configurations, licenses, renewals, availability, support and vendor coordination. Manage ERP vendor coordination, issue escalation, support, and enhancement/change requests with relevant business and cross-functional teams.
- Security, Governance, Risk & Compliance: Ensure effective IT security, governance and operational controls covering access management, endpoint/server security, backup, vulnerability remediation, security monitoring and risk management. Maintain policies and controls and coordinate with the CIO, Information Security and corporate/parent IT teams as applicable.
- Audits & Assessments: Manage IT audit and assessment readiness, including internal, external and corporate/parent audits. Coordinate evidence, track observations and corrective actions, assess risks and ensure timely remediation and closure.
- BCP/DR & Resilience: Manage IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery activities, including identification of critical services and dependencies, backup and recovery arrangements, BCP/DR documentation, periodic testing and remediation of identified gaps.
- Vendor, Procurement & Financial Management: Manage IT vendors and service providers, including SLA performance, escalations, contracts, renewals and service reviews. Manage IT Operations budget planning, procurement, recurring services, licenses, expenditure, provisions and cost optimization.
- IT Asset & Lifecycle Management: Oversee the complete IT asset lifecycle, including procurement, inventory, allocation, onboarding, transfers, recovery, verification, replacement, licenses and compliant disposal/e-waste management.
- Projects, Automation & Continuous Improvement: Plan, prioritize and oversee IT Operations initiatives and projects. Review technology architecture, standards and lifecycle requirements and drive appropriate upgrades, replacements, automation, process standardization, monitoring, dashboards and improvements to enhance efficiency, service quality, cost effectiveness and operational resilience.
- Stakeholder & Corporate IT Management:
Act as the key IT Operations interface with the CIO, business functions, corporate/parent IT teams, vendors and external stakeholders. Translate business requirements into operational priorities, manage significant escalations and coordinate cross-functional resolution.
- Operational Governance, Planning & Reporting: Develop and maintain the IT Operations roadmap, annual operating plan, KPIs, SLAs, risk registers, operational controls and management dashboards. Provide regular reporting to the CIO on service performance, risks, resource requirements, projects and operational priorities.
- Documentation & Knowledge Management: Ensure IT policies, procedures, technical documentation, service records, asset records, knowledge repositories and operational reports are maintained to support effective operations, auditability and knowledge continuity.
- Ensure IT Operations and Infrastructure comply with organizational policies, applicable security and regulatory requirements, corporate standards and defined IT governance and operational processes.
Qualification, Experience and Skills required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related technical field.
- 14+ years of experience in IT Operations, IT Infrastructure, System Administration, Enterprise IT or related technology functions, with demonstrated IT management experience.
- 7+ years of experience managing IT teams, IT Operations or Infrastructure functions with demonstrated people and operational leadership.
- Strong experience managing IT Operations and infrastructure, including networking (LAN/WAN), connectivity, operating systems, endpoints, servers, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, backup and workplace technology.
- Robust experience in IT service management, Helpdesk, incident/problem/change management, SLA/KPI management, operational reporting and service improvement.
- Experience in IT security, governance, access management, vulnerability remediation, backup/recovery, operational risk and compliance.
- Strong experience with IT audits, compliance assessments, corrective actions and remediation tracking.
- Strong experience with BCP/DR planning, testing and operational resilience.
- Experience managing IT vendors, service providers, contracts, licenses, procurement and IT budgets.
- Experience in IT asset lifecycle and software/license management.
