Summary

CanKids is seeking two dynamic and motivated Campaign Interns to play a pivotal role in the strategic planning and successful execution of high-impact fundraising and awareness initiatives. These campaigns are central to major sporting events, including the Tata Mumbai Marathon, Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon, and Cycle for Gold. This position offers a practical, immersive experience that spans research, direct participant engagement, community building, fundraising assistance, communications management, and in office event operations. The ideal applicant will be a proactive individual who thrives in energetic environments, demonstrates strong organizational abilities, and possesses the confidence to communicate effectively with diverse groups while taking full ownership of assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

- Campaign Planning and Execution: Collaborate on the design and implementation of fundraising strategies, manage campaign timelines and activity logs, and conduct thorough research to identify new community groups, running clubs, cycling associations, and corporate partners to expand the organization's reach.
- Outreach and Engagement: Proactively contact potential participants, athletes, and community organizations to drive registrations and onboarding. Maintain consistent communication via phone, messaging platforms, and email to foster a vibrant, supportive community around CanKids' events.
- Fundraising Facilitation: Guide participants in launching and promoting their personal fundraising pages, monitor donation milestones, and manage databases to ensure timely follow-ups on commitments and donor acknowledgments.
- Event Logistics and Coordination: Assist with pre-event preparations such as managing registrations, preparing participant kits, and handling logistics.



Serve as a liaison for volunteers, vendors, and partners, and provide essential on-ground support during major events to manage registration desks, branding, and participant interactions.
- Content and Communications: Develop engaging content for various channels, including WhatsApp broadcasts, email newsletters, and social media posts. Gather compelling stories, photos, and testimonials to enhance campaign materials and support the creation of reports and presentations.
- Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of participants, donors, and outreach efforts in spreadsheets. Track key performance indicators such as call volumes, registration numbers, and fundraising progress to generate concise weekly and monthly performance reports.

Requirements

Requirements:

- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities with the confidence to engage with new contacts.
- Proficiency in digital tools, specifically Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational capabilities, time management skills, and a keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to follow through on tasks and coordinate complex activities in fast-paced settings.
- Comfort and familiarity with digital communication platforms like WhatsApp, email, and social media for outreach purposes.
- A proactive attitude, high energy levels, and a willingness to work both remotely and on-site.
- A genuine interest in event management, fundraising, marketing, sports, social impact, or the non-profit sector.
- Preferred: Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Business, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Preferred: Previous internship or project experience in event coordination, fundraising, community engagement, or social impact initiatives.
