Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Kolkata.

The Interior

Designer will develop design concepts, layouts, and mood boards, and prepare detailed drawings and specifications for residential and commercial projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting clients to understand requirements, conducting site visits and measurements, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and overseeing on-site execution to ensure design intent is maintained. The role also involves selecting finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E;), preparing cost estimates,



and supporting project timelines and documentation.

The Interior

Designer will collaborate with the design team to ensure projects are functional, protected, and aligned with client expectations and brand identity.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in Interior Design and Space Planning, with the ability to create functional, aesthetically cohesive layouts.
- Knowledge of Architecture principles and experience translating design concepts into practical solutions.
- Ability to prepare accurate Construction Drawings and technical documentation for contractors and vendors.
- Experience in FF&E; selection, including materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and accessories.
- Strong skills in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and basic proficiency in MS Office.
- Excellent visual communication skills, including presentation boards, sketches, and 3D visualizations.
- Effective interpersonal and client-facing communication skills, with the ability to explain design decisions clearly.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines on-site in Kolkata.
- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; prior studio or site experience is an advantage.
