Role Description The Infection Control Nurse is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring infection prevention and control practices within the institute and associated clinical settings. Day-to-day activities include conducting infection risk assessments, overseeing hygiene and sterilization procedures, monitoring infection trends, and ensuring adherence to evidence-based protocols.

The Infection Control

Nurse will educate healthcare staff, trainees, and students on infection control guidelines, provide training on safe clinical practices,



and support the development of policies and procedures aligned with regulatory and institutional standards. The role also includes collaborating with medical and administrative teams, documenting infection-related incidents, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid expertise in Infection Control and Infection prevention practices.

- Candidates should possess solid Nursing skills, with experience in clinical or hospital-based care.

- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Medicine and Infectious Diseases relevant to clinical research and patient safety.

- Relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing) or equivalent, with valid registration;

certification in infection control is an advantage.

- Ability to interpret clinical guidelines, prepare reports, and maintain accurate documentation.

- Strong communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills to train diverse groups of healthcare professionals and students.

- Attention to detail, adherence to ethical standards, and commitment to patient and staff safety.

- Prior experience in hospital infection control, clinical research environments, or quality assurance is preferred.
