Job Summary

We are looking for a Hydrographic Data Processor to process, validate, quality-check, and prepare hydrographic survey data and deliverables. The role will primarily focus on data processing while also participating in field activities when required to understand data acquisition, verify survey coverage, perform field QC, and confirm data completeness.

Key Responsibilities

- Process and validate hydrographic survey data and prepare project deliverables.
- Set up processing projects and verify raw sensor, positioning, motion, tide, and sound-velocity data.
- Process Single Beam Echo Sounder (SBES) and Multibeam Echo Sounder (MBES) data using approved hydrographic processing software.
- Apply approved corrections and processing parameters as per project requirements.
- Clean and validate survey data and perform coverage and cross-line checks.
- Identify data gaps, errors, inconsistencies, or questionable data and report them promptly.
- Prepare surfaces, charts, profiles, reports, and other required hydrographic outputs.
- Maintain accurate processing logs, data versions, backups, and traceability.
- Submit processed outputs for independent technical and QA/QC review.
- Make required corrections without overwriting approved or previously issued versions.
- Participate in field activities when assigned to understand the survey mission and verify data coverage and completeness.
- Support hydrographic survey activities including SBES, MBES,



Side Scan Sonar, Sub-bottom Profiling, Magnetometric Surveys, Metocean/Current Measurements, Tide/Water-Level Observations, and Sound-Velocity Measurements, as applicable.
- Follow approved SOPs, work instructions, project method statements, HSE requirements, equipment manuals, and document-control procedures.
- Maintain raw data, logs, transfer records, processing records, QC evidence, and deliverable documentation.
- Identify missing, corrupt, or incomplete data and recommend additional acquisition where required.
- Coordinate with surveyors, project engineers, QA/QC, CAD/GIS, HSE, and other technical teams.
- Ensure data integrity, traceability, quality, and timely completion of assigned processing work.

Qualifications & Skills
- Relevant degree, diploma, technical certificate, or demonstrated competence in Hydrography, Surveying, Geomatics, Geospatial Science, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in hydrographic data processing appropriate to the role level.
- Knowledge of hydrographic survey methods, equipment, processing software, and quality-control procedures.
- Understanding of SBES and MBES data processing.
- Knowledge of positioning, motion,



tide, and sound-velocity data.
- Positive data-handling and technical observation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Good reporting and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate processing records, backups, and version control.
- Knowledge of HSE requirements and project procedures.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary technical team.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with practical experience in hydrographic data processing, bathymetric surveys, SBES/MBES processing, survey data QC, and hydrographic processing software will be preferred.

- Maintain high data quality and accuracy.
- Complete assigned processing activities within the approved schedule.
- Maintain complete and timely processing and QC records.
- Ensure proper data backup, traceability, and version control.
- Follow all applicable HSE and company procedures.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
