Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Human Resources Manager role based in Kochi.

The Human Resources

Manager will oversee end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement for the cooperative’s diverse teams.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing HR policies, ensuring compliance with labor laws and cooperative regulations, and maintaining accurate HR records and documentation. The role involves managing compensation and advantages, coordinating training and development programs, and supporting leadership with workforce planning and organizational development.

Manager will also serve as a trusted point of contact for employees, fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture aligned with the mission of Janani Mithra Co-operative.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in core HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement HR policies, procedures, and compliance practices, including knowledge of relevant labor laws and cooperative sector regulations.
- Skills in training and development, talent management, and organizational development to support a growing, mission-driven workforce.
- Proficiency in HR documentation and systems, including HRIS tools, report generation, and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and levels.
- Proven capability in change management, employee engagement initiatives, and fostering an inclusive, ethical work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or HR certification is an advantage.
- Prior experience in cooperative societies, financial services, or social impact organizations is beneficial, along with familiarity with the local context in Kochi and Kerala.
