Job Title: HR Manager – Medical/Healthcare Industry

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead end-to-end HR operations for a medical industry organization based in Ambattur, Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in HR generalist functions within the healthcare/medical/pharma sector and be capable of independently managing a plant or corporate HR function.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage end-to-end recruitment and manpower planning for shop floor, staff, and management-level positions
- Handle statutory compliance (PF, ESI, Bonus, Gratuity, Factories Act, and other labour laws applicable to the medical/manufacturing sector)
- Oversee payroll processing and coordination with finance/accounts team
- Drive performance management systems, appraisals, and employee development programs
- Manage employee relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary processes
- Handle industrial relations and liaise with labour department/government authorities as required
- Design and implement HR policies, SOPs, and employee engagement initiatives
- Oversee training & development programs,



especially compliance/GMP-related training (if applicable to medical devices/pharma manufacturing)
- Manage HR budgeting, manpower cost control, and attrition management
- Ensure smooth onboarding, induction, and exit formalities
- Coordinate audits (ISO, GMP, or other quality/compliance audits) from an HR documentation standpoint
- Report to senior/plant management on HR metrics and initiatives

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent
- 7–15 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in medical devices, pharma, healthcare, or medical manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience in handling unionized/non-unionized workforce (if applicable)
- Proficiency in HRMS/payroll software and MS Office
- Ability to work independently and manage a full HR department
- Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period preferred

Location: Ambattur, Chennai Salary: As per industry standards (negotiable based on experience)
