Role Description The Highway Design Engineer will work on-site in Ahmedabad in a full-time capacity, contributing to the design and development of highway and roadway projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing detailed highway alignment and geometric designs, conducting design calculations, and coordinating drainage and ancillary road infrastructure layouts. The role involves reviewing and interpreting surveys, traffic studies, and transportation plans, and translating them into practical design solutions that meet safety, capacity,



and regulatory requirements.

The engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support preparation of drawings, reports, and bid documents, and assist in design reviews and value engineering exercises. The position also requires adherence to applicable standards and codes, participation in client meetings, and support during construction phases to resolve design-related issues.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Highway Design and Highway Engineering.
- Candidates should possess applied expertise in Roadway Design and Transportation Planning.
- Candidates should possess competency in Drainage Design and related road-side hydrology considerations.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Experience with highway design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MX Road, OpenRoads, or similar) and relevant national/international design codes.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to safety, quality, and constructability.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and manage commitments to project timelines.
- Prior experience in transportation infrastructure projects and familiarity with sustainability and environmental considerations will be an advantage.
