Role Description The Health Safety Environment Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Maharashtra, India. The individual in this role will develop, implement, and monitor health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in alignment with legal requirements and company standards.
Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting site inspections and risk assessments, identifying hazards, and recommending corrective actions to ensure a safe workplace. The role involves organizing safety trainings and awareness programs, maintaining incident and compliance records, and preparing reports for management and regulatory bodies.
The HSE Officer will collaborate with operations and HR teams to promote a strong safety culture, support occupational health initiatives, and drive continuous improvement in workplace safety and environmental performance.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess robust Health & Safety and Workplace Safety skills, with practical experience in implementing safety guidelines and procedures.
- Candidates should possess Environment Health and Safety (EHS) knowledge, including environmental compliance and sustainable safety practices.
- Candidates should possess Occupational Health expertise, with the ability to assess and mitigate health risks in the workplace.
- Candidates should possess NEBOSH or equivalent safety certifications, demonstrating formal training in HSE standards and best practices.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in industrial, construction, or manufacturing environments is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication, documentation, and reporting skills, with the ability to train and influence teams at all levels.
- Ability to work on-site, conduct field inspections, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve safety issues.
