? We’re Hiring: Head of Platform Engineering | Backend | FinTech? Mumbai | Full time | Leadership Role

? 12–18+ Years Experience

Build the Technology Platform Behind 1M+ Daily TransactionsWe’re building a high-performance FinTech platform designed to process 1M+ transactions daily and are looking for a Head of Platform Engineering to lead our backend and platform engineering organisation.

This is a strategic technology leadership role for someone who can architect scalable, secure and highly available systems, build strong engineering teams, and drive technology excellence at scale.

What You’ll Own

- Define and own the backend and platform architecture across .NET, Node.js, SQL and PostgreSQL.
- Design and scale distributed, high-availability systems for 1M+ daily transactions.
- Build, mentor and lead high-performing backend and platform engineering teams.
- Own the technology roadmap across scalability, reliability, security, observability and performance.
- Establish engineering standards across architecture, development, testing, CI/CD and incident management.
- Partner with Product, DevOps and Security to deliver reliable, secure and scalable platforms.
- Drive infrastructure and application performance and cost optimisation.
- Evaluate modern technologies including Go, event-driven architecture and cloud-native systems.

What We’re Looking For

- 12–18+ years in Backend, Platform or Software Engineering.
- 5+ years in senior engineering leadership roles.
- Strong expertise in .NET Core, Node.js/TypeScript,



SQL and PostgreSQL.
- Deep understanding of microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architecture and API design.
- Experience with AWS/Azure, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD.
- Proven experience scaling high-throughput, high-availability production systems.
- Strong security mindset with knowledge of PCI DSS.
- Exceptional technical leadership, decision-making and stakeholder management skills.

PreferredExperience in FinTech, Banking, Payments or high-transaction SaaS, particularly systems handling 1M–10M+ daily transactions, will be highly valued. Experience with Kafka, Redis, API Gateways, distributed tracing and Go/Golang is an advantage.
