Head of Operations — Atman Artwork Cinema, Media & Entertainment | Chennai | Full-time | On-site with travel

Atman Artwork is appointing its first Head of Operations.

This is a hands-on role. You will run the entire business side of a fast-moving film, media and brand operation — building the systems where they don't exist, and doing the work yourself where there is no one else to do it yet.

What you'll do

- Run day-to-day operations across the office, productions, and all commercial activity
- Own finance and accounts — budgets, cashflow, collections, statutory compliance, audit
- Handle contracts end to end: film, endorsement, licensing, vendor and employment agreements
- Build and lead the team — hiring, payroll, policy, performance across staff and freelance crew
- Oversee social media, PR and communications, including media relationships and crisis response
- Drive brand endorsements and partnerships from pipeline to negotiation to delivery
- Manage vendors, agencies, external counsel and auditors




- Be the person who makes decisions when the founder is on set

What we're looking for
- MBA, CA, CS or LLB. A qualified finance or legal background is a strong advantage
- 12 years' experience, with at least 5 years leading multiple functions
- Background in film production, talent management, studio business affairs, media/entertainment operations, or a promoter's office — professional services backgrounds with entertainment clients also welcome
- Strong financial and contractual literacy — you can read a balance sheet and a contract without help
- Proven ability to build structure in an unstructured, founder-led workplace
- Fluent in Tamil and English. Hindi an advantage
- Comfortable with irregular hours, shoot schedules and travel at short notice
- Absolute discretion.
