Hiring: Head of Community

NOT just a Job?. A Calling of a Lifetime. ?

We are not just hiring a Head of Community. We are inviting a leader — someone who has built and led large, thriving communities before — to lead one of India's largest leadership communities for women.

The Iron Lady community has been built by women — volunteers who inspire each other every day — with one mission: A Million Women at the Top.

The leader who steps into this role will scale this mission further: growing our community, energizing our volunteer network of senior women leaders, running events that bring women together, and inspiring every Iron Lady to WIN every day

This role is for someone who:

- Has led large-scale communities—online or offline—and understands what it takes to meaningfully engage thousands of people, not just hundreds.
- Has successfully planned and executed events at scale, taking ownership from strategy and planning through on-ground execution.
- Has built, nurtured, and mobilized volunteer networks, with the ability to transform committed volunteers into capable community leaders.
- Is equally comfortable contributing in a strategy room and being hands-on on the ground, whether at large events or engaging with senior women leaders.
- Deeply understands that a strong sense of belonging drives participation, performance, retention, and long-term loyalty.
- Can translate a larger vision into meaningful, consistent, and everyday community engagement.
- Understands business and knows how a solid community can contribute to revenue, retention, growth, and long-term organisational impact.
- Can create and execute community-led growth strategies with measurable outcomes in revenue and business impact.
- Has experience in raising sponsorships and building strategic partnerships for large-scale events and initiatives.
- Is not just focused on engagement metrics but understands how to build a community that creates real business value and measurable impact.

TThis role may be a great fit for you if:

- You have real, hands-on experience in building, growing, and sustaining large communities.
- You have successfully led volunteer-driven teams and large-scale events, and you are equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves for on-ground execution.
- You naturally inspire people to take ownership, step up, and grow into leaders.
- You genuinely care about women's emotional, professional, and personal growth.
- You can coach, guide, and design meaningful programs, experiences, and content that create measurable impact.
- You think like a business leader and understand how a strong community can drive revenue, retention, growth, and long-term business value.
- You can build strategies and translate them into consistent execution.
- You are comfortable balancing inspiration with accountability, strategy with action, and vision with measurable outcomes.
- You have the ability to build partnerships and raise sponsorships to support large-scale community initiatives and events.

This is not about managing groups or increasing engagement numbers.

This is about building a movement, creating leaders, driving meaningful impact—and running the community with the strategic thinking and accountability of a business.

? What the Hiring Journey Looks Like

Our hiring process is a 5-step, experience-led journey:

4. Office Immersion – Spend half a day with the team and create a strategy based on your observations.
5. Founder & Leadership Conversations – Face-to-face discussions with the Founder and executive leadership team.

This is not just an interview process—it is an opportunity to experience the organisation and the role firsthand.

? At any stage, you may choose to withdraw.

? At any stage, we may choose to discontinue the process.

This is a mutual, conscious decision to commit to the mission — not just accept a role.
