Role: GTM Product Owner - Smart Sites
Location: Noida /Chennai
Role Purpose
Joint owner-architect for the Smart Sites portfolio — distributed/branch IT committed on composite per-site availability — combining ownership of the site story per vertical with hands-on converged architecture depth (Nutanix / Azure Local / vSAN class).
Key Responsibilities
- Own the Smart Sites portfolio end-to-end — story, service catalogue, P&L; and roadmap spanning distributed/branch IT across retail, manufacturing, mining and other multi-site verticals, committed on composite per-site availability.
- Act as hands-on converged-architecture authority — set reference architectures and platform standards for branch/remote-site HCI compute (Nutanix / Azure Local / vSAN class).
- Own remote-site rollout methodology at scale — zero-touch provisioning, site-survey-to-cutover playbooks, hardware pre-staging, and swap-and-go break/fix models for programs spanning hundreds to thousands of sites.
- Direct the network specialist pool so converged compute, WAN and vertical SME content land as one coherent site offer.
- Define commercial constructs — site-tier pricing, SLA/service-credit design, resource-unit (RU) costing, and build-vs-partner sourcing for HCI hardware and site services.
- Set vendor and technology strategy for the converged layer — platform selection, roadmap alignment with hardware/hypervisor vendors, and lifecycle/refresh governance across a dispersed estate.
Hard Skills
- Converged/HCI platform depth — Hands-on architecture across Nutanix Cloud Platform (AHV/Prism), Azure Local (formerly Azure Stack HCI) with Azure Arc,
and VMware vSAN/VCF; validated-node hardware (Dell VxRail, HPE SimpliVity, Cisco HyperFlex).
- Remote/branch rollout engineering — Zero-touch provisioning and site-survey-to-cutover playbooks for ROBO programs spanning hundreds to thousands of sites; pre-staged ship-to-site hardware and swap-and-go break/fix models.
- Vendor certification depth — Nutanix NCA/NCP-MCI track, Microsoft AZ-800/AZ-801 for Azure Local, VMware VCP-DCV; Azure Local Catalog validated-node ecosystem fluency.
- Vertical buyer & offer definition — Defining site story and win-themes per vertical (retail, manufacturing, mining, distributed financial services) and translating site archetypes into standard sellable tiers.
- Outcome-based commercial design — SLA/service-credit construction, per-site/per-device resource-unit pricing, tiered site-class catalogues, unit-cost/business-case modelling for estate-refresh programs.
- Managed-services productization — Service catalogue and tiering design, build-vs-partner sourcing for HCI hardware and site services, back-to-back OEM/carrier contracting.
- Cross-domain network integration — Architecture-level fluency in SD-WAN/site-network fabrics (Fortinet/Cisco Catalyst/VeloCloud-class) and edge segmentation for clean integration with network and cyber portfolios.
- Estate resilience & lifecycle governance — Backup/DR patterns for distributed HCI estates, firmware/refresh cadence, capacity/lifecycle governance across thousands of dispersed nodes.
- Tooling fluency for direction-setting — HCI management planes (Nutanix Prism Central, Azure Arc, vCenter/VCF) sufficient to set standards and direct site-deployment specialists.
