About the RoleZenalyst builds an enterprise agentic execution layer for the CFO's office — treasury, procure-to-pay and collections automation for large organisations.
You will own features end to end: the React interface a finance controller uses, the Spring Boot services behind it, and the schema underneath. Our users are CFOs, controllers and treasury teams working with real money — the interface has to be fast, exact and trustworthy, and the backend has to be correct.
This is a build role. You will ship to production in your first weeks.
ResponsibilitiesFrontend
- Build and own features in our React 19 SPA — dashboards, reconciliation workflows, transaction views, approval flows
- Design interfaces for dense financial data: large tables, drill-downs, filters, charts (Recharts)
- Handle real-time streaming updates over SSE as agent runs progress
- Own state management, performance and correctness of what the user sees — a wrong number on screen is a production incident here
Backend
- Build Spring Boot services and REST APIs that back those features
- Design and evolve PostgreSQL schemas for treasury domain objects; write Flyway migrations
- Work within our multi-tenant model, where isolation is enforced by physical database connection selected from the verified JWT principal
- Build scheduled and background jobs on JobRunr — sync runs, reconciliation, batch imports
- Integrate with bank and ERP connectors, and handle their failure modes properly
Across the stack
- Take features from spec to production: schema, API, UI, tests, deployment
- Instrument with OpenTelemetry so a trace runs cleanly from browser to database
- Debug production issues wherever they actually are, not just on your preferred side
RequirementsEssential
- 2–4 years building and shipping full stack applications in production
- Strong React with TypeScript — hooks, state management, component design, performance
- Strong Java and Spring Boot, or equivalent depth in another typed backend language with the appetite to work in Java
- Solid PostgreSQL — schema design, joins, indexing, query tuning
- REST API design, JWT authentication, and a working understanding of HTTP
- Git, code review, and comfort reading code you did not write
- Clear written communication — we document decisions
Strongly preferred
- Experience building data-dense interfaces: tables, grids, charts, filters at scale
- Vite, modern build tooling, and an eye for bundle size and load performance
- Docker, CI/CD (GitHub Actions), Azure or AWS deployment
- Exposure to fintech, banking, ERP or accounting products
- Some design sensibility — you should care whether the screen is usable, not just whether it renders
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of Python — our agent engine is FastAPI
- Any hands-on work with LLM APIs, RAG or agent frameworks
- Streaming interfaces (SSE, WebSockets)
- Redis, background job systems, event-driven processing
Who This SuitsSomeone who genuinely wants both sides — not a frontend developer who tolerates APIs, or a backend developer who resents CSS. You should be happy owning a feature completely, and equally happy being told the number in column three is wrong and going to find out why. What We Offer
- Full ownership of features, not tickets
- Real enterprise users and short feedback loops
- Hard problems on both sides: dense financial UI, multi-tenancy, bank integration, deterministic control over AI-driven execution
- Direct access to founders and the CTO
- Competitive fixed compensation plus ESOP
