Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Bengaluru, with flexibility for partial work from home.

The Full Stack





Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining microservices-based web applications using MERN technologies, ensuring robust API and backend functionality to support IGEN’s digital platforms. Day-to-day tasks include building scalable front-end interfaces, implementing secure and performant backend services, integrating third-party APIs, and optimizing databases for reliability and speed. The role also involves applying AI prompt engineering to enhance content workflows, personalization, and automation across IGEN’s web properties.

The engineer will collaborate with product, content, and design teams, participate in code reviews, maintain technical documentation, and ensure best practices in testing, security, and deployment.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Front-End Development skills, including React (MERN), JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
- Candidates should possess solid Back-End Web Development skills, including Node.js, Express, RESTful APIs, and database design with MongoDB or similar NoSQL/SQL systems.
- Candidates should possess comprehensive Full-Stack Development and Software Development skills, including microservices architecture, version control (Git), testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Candidates should possess experience with AI prompt engineering, working with LLMs or AI APIs to build intelligent features and content automation.
- 5+ years of qualified experience as a full stack or software engineer, preferably in high-traffic web applications or digital platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong problem-solving ability, clean coding practices, and familiarity with security, performance optimization, and scalability considerations.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, with effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
