Gurgaon, in office, working beside me.

I'm looking for one person to work out of my office. Not to assist - to take things and run with them.

1AM is a cold coffee brand out of Delhi. 230ml cans, 100% Arabica, zero added sugar, and a lactose free range that nobody else in this country is making. Nine months of shelf life without a fridge, which is why we go where chilled coffee cannot - college vending machines, corporate floors, quick commerce, highway retail, gifting. We're young, already on shelves, and most of what this company becomes is still open.

The work is whatever the week needs. A distributor to close. A plant that owes us a date. A quick commerce partner where something has gone wrong and it needs sorting before evening. You'd be in the room for the decisions, and holding a few of them yourself much sooner than you'd expect to be.

If one thing matters here more than the rest, it's persuasion. The distributor who wasn't going to take on a new brand. The buyer with forty others sitting in his inbox. The plant that swears it has no room this month.



If that's the conversation you enjoy rather than dread, you'll do very well here.

B-schools only, and an MBA is preferred, largely because of the pace. Past that, I'm looking for someone who thinks like an owner rather than an employee - which no CV has ever managed to tell me.

We start with three months, paid at market. Partly so you find out what you're genuinely strongest at, because most people guess wrong at the beginning. The full time role then gets built around whatever that turns out to be. And if you already believe you're past the internship stage, tell me why. I'm happy to be convinced.

What you get is my time, no layers in between, and a front-row seat to how a brand actually gets built. Which is a rather different subject from how it gets taught.
