Role Description Foreign Education Counsellors and Immigration/Non-Immigration Counsellors at Rao Consultants provide guidance to individuals seeking overseas education, work, travel, or settlement opportunities. In this full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad, counsellors meet with clients to understand their aspirations, assess eligibility, and recommend suitable countries, universities, programs, or visa pathways. They support clients through application and documentation processes, explain admission and visa requirements, and coordinate with internal teams for exam preparation, compliance, and follow-up.

Daily activities include conducting counselling sessions, maintaining accurate records, responding to client inquiries,



and staying updated on international education trends and immigration regulations. Counsellors also participate in events, seminars, and workshops to promote services and build trusted relationships with prospective clients and partners.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid counselling and advisory skills, including the ability to understand client needs, explain complex information clearly, and provide personalized guidance.
- Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including fluent spoken and written English; proficiency in local languages is an advantage.
- Candidates should possess organizational and administrative skills, such as accurate documentation, time management, and attention to detail in handling applications and records.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of foreign education systems, international universities, and exam requirements (IELTS, PTE, GRE, SAT, CELPIP), along with basic understanding of visa and immigration processes.
- Candidates should possess customer service and relationship management skills, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and the ability to build long-term trust with clients.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in any discipline; qualifications in education, counselling, immigration, or related fields are preferred.
- Prior experience in foreign education counselling, visa consulting, or academic advising is highly beneficial, though motivated entry-level candidates may also be considered.
