About the Role We are looking for an exceptionally skilled Fixed Wing VTOL UAV Test Pilot to join our flight testing team.

The ideal candidate will have outstanding manual flying skills and hands-on experience operating Fixed Wing VTOL UAVs and RC aircraft in Manual Mode, including during normal and abnormal flight conditions.

This role involves flight testing, system validation, flight data analysis, flight controller tuning, troubleshooting, and close collaboration with engineering teams to improve aircraft performance, stability, and reliability.

Formal education is not mandatory. Practical flying skills, technical knowledge, and hands-on experience are our highest priorities.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform manual flight testing of Fixed Wing VTOL UAVs and RC aircraft.
- Execute take-off, transition, cruise, mission, and landing safely in Manual Mode.
- Conduct prototype and production flight evaluations.
- Safely recover aircraft during system failures, flight anomalies, and unexpected situations.
- Analyse flight logs and telemetry to identify flight issues and root causes.
- Perform PID tuning and flight controller parameter optimization.
- Validate current hardware, avionics, payloads, and software releases through flight testing.
- Diagnose flight behaviour and provide detailed technical feedback to engineering teams.
- Conduct pre-flight inspections, mission planning, and post-flight debriefing.
- Maintain flight reports, logbooks, and testing documentation.
- Ensure safe flight operations in accordance with applicable aviation regulations and company SOPs.
- Work closely with Design, Avionics, Software, and Production teams during aircraft development and testing.

Mandatory Requirements
- Valid Remote Pilot Certificate / DGCA Remote Pilot License.




- Exceptional manual flying skills on: Fixed Wing RC Aircraft & Fixed Wing VTOL UAVs
- Ability to confidently fly in Manual Mode, without relying solely on autopilot.
- Proven ability to recover aircraft from: GPS failures, Compass failures, Sensor malfunctions, Communication loss, Flight controller abnormalities, Stall or unstable flight conditions
- Strong understanding of fixed-wing aerodynamics and flight dynamics.
- Experience with flight log analysis, preferably ArduPilot/PX4.
- Strong understanding of PID tuning and flight controller parameter optimization.
- Ability to identify root causes of flight issues using telemetry and log data.
- Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Willingness to work extensively in outdoor field environments.
- Willingness to travel frequently for flight testing, field trials, and demonstrations.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with ArduPilot and/or PX4.
- Working knowledge of Mission Planner and QGroundControl.
- Experience in prototype UAV development and flight testing.
- Familiarity with RC radio systems, telemetry, and failsafe configurations.
- Basic electronics and mechanical assembly skills.
- Hands-on field troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with Design, Avionics, Software, and Production teams.
