Reporting To: Site Engineer
About the Role
SRJ Piping India Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and responsible Fire Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day fire protection works at project sites. The candidate will be responsible for supervising site manpower, coordinating with the site team and subcontractors, ensuring work is executed as per approved drawings and specifications, and maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Execution
- Supervise day-to-day installation of fire protection and firefighting systems.
- Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, BOQ, specifications and project requirements.
- Supervise installation of fire hydrant, sprinkler, fire alarm, fire suppression and other fire protection systems as applicable to the project.
- Coordinate pipe routing, supports, valve installation, equipment installation and related works.
- Check the quality and workmanship of installation before inspection.
2. Manpower Management
- Manage and allocate site manpower including foremen, skilled workers and helpers.
- Monitor daily productivity and ensure work targets are achieved.
- Maintain discipline and proper utilisation of manpower.
- Coordinate with the Site Engineer/Project Manager regarding manpower requirements.
3. Drawing & Technical Coordination
- Read and understand fire protection drawings, layouts, isometrics and shop drawings.
- Ensure installation is carried out according to the latest approved drawings.
- Identify site-level issues, clashes or deviations and report them to the Site Engineer/Project Manager.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, HVAC and other MEP teams wherever required.
4. Material Management
- Check materials received at site against the required specifications and quantities.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of pipes, valves,
fittings, sprinkler heads, equipment and other fire protection materials.
- Inform the Project Manager about material shortages or additional requirements in advance.
- Minimise material wastage at site.
5. Testing & Commissioning
- Assist the engineering team during hydrostatic testing, flushing, pressure testing and commissioning of fire protection systems.
- Ensure testing activities are properly coordinated with the client/consultant.
- Rectify installation-related issues identified during testing and inspection.
- Maintain records of testing and inspection activities.
6. Quality & Safety
- Ensure all work is carried out with proper safety precautions.
- Follow project-specific safety procedures and permit requirements.
- Ensure workers use appropriate PPE and follow safe working practices.
- Maintain quality standards and immediately report defective or non-compliant work.
- Coordinate with the project safety team for toolbox talks and site safety requirements.
7. Client & Contractor Coordination
- Coordinate effectively with the client, consultant, main contractor and other agencies at site.
- Attend site meetings when required and communicate work progress and site requirements.
- Maintain a professional relationship with the client's site team.
- Support the Site Engineer/Project Manager in resolving day-to-day site issues.
8. Daily Reporting
- Prepare daily updates on manpower, work progress, materials and site activities.
- Maintain records of completed quantities and pending works.
- Report delays,
site constraints and material requirements to the Project Manager.
- Support preparation of measurement sheets and work completion records.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- B.E/Diploma in Mechanical, Fire & Safety, Electrical or relevant technical qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in fire protection/firefighting installation and site supervision.
- Good knowledge of fire hydrant and sprinkler systems.
- Ability to read and understand fire protection drawings and layouts.
- Experience in industrial/commercial projects will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience in industrial plants, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, data centres or large commercial projects will be preferred.
- Good manpower handling and site coordination skills.
- Willingness to work at project sites and travel as required.

Additional: Site accommodation only if site is outside of Bangalore/travel allowance, if applicable based on project location and company policy.
