We are looking for an experienced Finishing & Quality Manager to manage the complete finishing operations and ensure that all garments meet the required quality standards and buyer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete finishing and quality process from garment checking to final packing.
- Supervise thread cutting, checking, pressing, ironing, folding, tagging and packing.
- Conduct final quality inspections and ensure garments meet buyer specifications.
- Identify and control defects, rework, alterations and rejection levels.
- Ensure proper quality standards are maintained throughout the finishing process.
- Manage and monitor the finishing and quality team to achieve daily production targets.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Merchandising and Dispatch teams.
- Ensure correct measurements, workmanship, construction, appearance and finishing of garments.
- Monitor buyer-specific quality requirements and ensure compliance before shipment.
- Conduct random and final inspections before goods are packed and dispatched.
- Identify recurring quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain daily production, quality and rejection reports.
- Train and guide finishing and checking staff on quality requirements.
- Ensure orders are completed within production and shipment deadlines.
- Maintain proper housekeeping, discipline and workflow on the finishing floor.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of relevant experience in garment finishing and quality, preferably with a garment export house.
- Strong knowledge of garment quality inspection and finishing processes.
- Experience in handling finishing and quality teams.
- Good understanding of export-quality standards and buyer requirements.
- Strong knowledge of measurements, workmanship, garment construction and finishing.
- Ability to identify quality issues and take quick corrective action.
- Robust team-management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under production and shipment deadlines.
- Candidates with experience in women's apparel / woven garments will be preferred.
