About the RoleWe are looking for a hands-on and commercially oriented Finance & Accounts Manager to manage the finance and accounting function of a fast-growing D2C brand.
The role will be responsible for accounting, MIS, financial reporting, cash-flow management, working capital, inventory accounting, Quick Commerce/channel reconciliations and statutory compliance.
The ideal candidate should have mandatory experience with a Quick Commerce brand, strong expertise in Tally and Advanced Excel, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities1. Accounting &
- Financial Reporting
- Own day-to-day accounting operations and ensure books are accurate and up to date.
- Manage monthly and annual financial closing.
- Prepare and review P&L;, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements.
- Ensure accurate accounting of sales, purchases, inventory, expenses, receivables and payables.
- Perform regular bank, ledger and balance-sheet reconciliations.
- Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors.
- Maintain strong accounting controls and documentation.
2. MIS & • Management Reporting
- Prepare monthly and periodic MIS reports for management.
- Develop channel-wise and business-unit-wise reporting.
- Prepare regular financial reports and analysis as required by the Head of Finance.
- Improve and automate reporting wherever possible using Advanced Excel.

Commerce &
• Channel Finance
- Manage financial reconciliations for Quick Commerce platforms, marketplaces and D2C channels.
- Reconcile sales, settlements, collections, commissions, discounts, returns, cancellations and deductions.
- Track platform-wise revenue and contribution margins.
- Identify settlement mismatches, revenue leakages and unexplained deductions.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of payment gateways,
platforms and bank receipts.
- Work closely with commercial and operations teams to resolve reconciliation issues.
4. Cash Flow & • Working Capital
- Monitor cash position and day-to-day cash requirements.
- Monitor receivables, payables and inventory.
- Track vendor payment cycles and customer/platform collections.
- Support the Head of Finance in cash-flow planning and working-capital management.
5. Inventory & • Supply Chain Finance
- Monitor inventory accounting and reconciliation.
- Reconcile physical inventory, system inventory and book inventory.
- Track inventory ageing, slow-moving and obsolete stock.
- Analyse inventory holding and its impact on working capital.
- Ensure appropriate accounting of freight, landed costs and other inventory-related expenses.
- Work with supply chain and procurement teams to identify inventory variances and leakages.
6. Budgeting & • Financial Planning
- Support the Head of Finance in the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Assist in preparing financial models and scenario analysis.
- Provide required financial data and analysis for business planning.
- Support the evaluation of new products, campaigns, channels and business initiatives.
7. Tax & • Statutory Compliance
- Take complete ownership of GST, TDS and other applicable statutory compliances.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all statutory returns.
- Coordinate with tax consultants, auditors and external advisors.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for statutory requirements.
- Manage tax audits, assessments and related queries as required.
8. Controls & • Process Improvement
- Establish and strengthen finance controls as the business scales.
- Identify gaps in accounting, payments, reconciliations and reporting processes.
- Develop and implement SOPs for finance processes.
- Strengthen controls around procurement, inventory, sales and vendor payments.
- Improve accuracy, timeliness and efficiency of the finance function.

Partnering
- Work closely with the Head of Finance, Founders, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Procurement and Operations.
- Support business teams with relevant financial information and analysis.
- Partner with business teams on pricing, promotions and channel economics.
- Bring financial discipline while maintaining the agility required in a high-growth D2C environment.
Mandatory Requirements
- CA / CA Equivalent
- 5–6 years of relevant experience
- Experience with a Quick Commerce brand – Mandatory
- Strong hands-on experience with Tally – Mandatory
- Advanced Excel – Mandatory
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting.
- Experience in MIS, reconciliations, inventory and working capital.
- Experience handling high-volume transactions and multiple sales channels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently own the finance function.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Team player with a team-oriented approach.
Preferred Experience
- D2C / E-commerce / FMCG / Retail / Consumer Brands.
- Experience working with multiple Quick Commerce platforms.
- Experience with ERP/accounting system implementation or process improvement.
