Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Field Supervisor – Solar Installation who can independently supervise and manage the complete solar installation process at customer sites. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating the installation team, ensuring proper electrical work, maintaining quality and safety standards, handling site-related issues, and ensuring timely completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage the complete solar installation process from site preparation to final commissioning.

Conduct/assist with site surveys, measurements and installation planning.

Supervise installation of solar panels, mounting structures, inverter, DC/AC cables, DBs, earthing and other electrical components.

Ensure proper DC and AC wiring, cable routing, termination and connections as per required standards.

Coordinate and manage electricians, technicians, helpers and other field staff at the site.

Ensure installation work is completed as per approved design, drawings and technical specifications.

Monitor installation quality and identify/resolve technical issues at the site.

Perform/coordinate testing, commissioning and system handover after installation.

Ensure proper earthing, electrical safety, cable management and protection systems.

Coordinate with customers regarding site requirements, installation schedules and work progress.

Maintain daily site reports, installation updates, material requirements and completion reports.





Check availability and proper utilization of solar installation materials and tools at the site.

Coordinate with the office/technical team regarding project progress, site issues and material requirements.

Ensure all work is completed within the assigned timeline and quality standards.

Follow and enforce all electrical and workplace safety protocols at installation sites.

Travel to customer/project locations as required.

Required Skills & Knowledge

Strong practical knowledge of Solar PV Installation.

Positive understanding of on-grid/off-grid/hybrid solar systems.

Knowledge of solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, DC/AC cables, AC/DC DB, earthing, MCB/MCCB, SPD and related electrical components.

Good knowledge of electrical wiring, load calculation and basic electrical troubleshooting.

Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and solar layouts.

Strong team handling and site management skills.

Good communication and customer-handling skills.

Ability to troubleshoot installation-related technical problems independently.

Good knowledge of safety procedures and electrical safety standards.

Willingness to travel to different project/customer sites.

Eligibility

Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering is preferred/required.

2–5 years of experience in solar installation/site supervision preferred.

Candidates with strong practical solar installation knowledge and field experience will be considered.

Must be comfortable working at customer sites and supervising field teams.

Valid driving licence will be an added advantage.
