Role Description The Field Sales Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Guwahati. This role is responsible for promoting Glenmark’s products to healthcare professionals, chemists, and distributors, ensuring strong product visibility and uptake in the assigned territory. Day-to-day activities include planning and executing sales visits, conducting product presentations, tracking orders, monitoring inventory levels, and following up on payments.

Officer will build and maintain long-term business relationships, gather market intelligence, and provide feedback on competitor activity and customer needs. The role also involves meeting sales targets, adhering to compliance and ethical standards, and preparing regular sales reports for management.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Sales and Business Relationship Management skills to drive product performance and develop the territory.
- Candidates should possess Client Relations and Customer Service skills to build trust, retain accounts, and support healthcare partners effectively.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to deliver clear product messages, negotiate effectively, and collaborate with internal teams.
- Relevant experience in pharmaceutical field sales or healthcare product promotion is preferred.
- Knowledge of the local market in Guwahati and surrounding regions will be beneficial.
- Ability to work independently, plan routes efficiently, and meet defined sales targets.
- A bachelor’s degree in science, pharmacy, business, or a related field is an advantage.
- Comfort with using digital tools (CRM systems, reporting software, and basic office applications) for territory management.
