Role Description The Fashion Designer role at TruColors is a full-time, on-site position based in Coimbatore.

The Fashion

Designer will create and develop school-wear collections for the Prepster brand, including conceptualizing designs, selecting fabrics and trims, and preparing detailed technical sketches. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with the production team, refining garment fits through sample reviews, coordinating with embroidery and textile specialists, and ensuring designs are aligned with brand guidelines and market trends.



The role also involves conducting research on styles and materials, preparing design presentations, and supporting the manufacturing process from concept to finished product.

Qualifications

- Robust skills in Fashion Design and Fashion, with the ability to create cohesive, trend-aware collections.
- Knowledge of Textiles and Embroidery, including fabric selection and surface embellishment techniques.
- Experience with garment Fitting, pattern understanding, and working with samples to achieve desired silhouettes.
- Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator or similar) and basic technical drawing skills.
- Diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
- Attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in uniform or school-wear design is an advantage but not mandatory.
