Role Description

About the Role

Our Records & Document Management engineering team builds and operates OpenText Intelligent Capture (Captiva) — ingesting documents from mailrooms, fax, email, and file feeds through classification, extraction, human review, and ECM export at high volume under Books & Records compliance. We are adding a Senior Software Engineer with architectural scope who designs and delivers production solutions across ScanPlus, CaptureFlows, classification/extraction, Completion, and Documentum export, while partnering with document operations on UAT and rollout.

You will provide technical leadership and hands-on delivery:



own end-to-end architecture, write and review code, mentor engineers, and collaborate with ECM engineers and product partners on reliable, secure capture platforms. Scope includes channel ingestion, processing pipelines, index queues, Documentum (and related) export, and evolution toward cloud-native services and document AI.

What You'll Do

- Define and implement capture architecture from ingest through classify, extract, review, and export
- Extend ScanPlus, REST ingestion, CaptureFlows (or cloud equivalents), Completion, and export modules (Documentum DFC, Box/Solr, Rule Engine, channel adapters)
- Integrate with ECM, search indexing, imaging APIs, enterprise identity, and document AI (e.g., Azure Document Intelligence)
- Apply Azure or AWS patterns for messaging, orchestration, storage, and operational readiness (security, observability, resilience)
- Support operator UAT, production operations, roadmap planning, code review, and CI/CD

Technical Skills

Required

- 8+ years software engineering with demonstrated system or component architecture ownership
- 3+ years OpenText Intelligent Capture v22.2+ and hands-on use of ScanPlus, Completion, IA Server/CaptureFlows, Image/Classification/Extraction, Documentum export (DFC), channel ingestion (eFaxImport, Standard Import), index queues, and Designer/.NET Code
- 3+ years document capture, ECM, or enterprise content processing; Documentum production experience preferred
- Robust C# / .NET and REST APIs; Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Ability to translate operator workflows into maintainable designs; strong communication across engineering, operations, and product

Nice-to-have skills

Preferred

Captiva Designer and IE/IA DB configuration; Azure Document Intelligence; React operator UIs; TWAIN/scanner integration; regulated-industry retention and financial services document operations
