Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with 34 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design and product development. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical components and systems,

ensuring they meet functional, quality, and cost requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks / Creo / CATIA / NX).
- Prepare 2D drawings, GD&T;, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Perform design calculations and basic CAE/FEA analysis where required.
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams for DFM/DFA and production feasibility.
- Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including electrical, industrial design, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality norms, and safety regulations.
- Handle design changes, engineering change requests (ECR/ECO), and documentation control.
- Assist in cost optimization and material selection.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.




- 3–4 years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD & 2D drafting.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes (Injection Moulding, Sheet Metal,

Machining, Die Casting, etc.).
- Strong understanding of GD&T;, tolerances, and fits.
- Experience with materials selection (plastics, metals).
- Basic knowledge of FEA/Simulation is an advantage.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):
- Experience in consumer products / industrial equipment / automotive / electronics enclosures.
- Exposure to prototype development and vendor coordination.
- Knowledge of PLM tools.
- Understanding of ISO / ASME standards.
