Role Overview

Lead and moderate structured root cause analysis activities across automotive software development projects. Ensure complex technical and process issues are analyzed using objective evidence, corrective actions address verified root causes, and recurrence is effectively prevented.

Responsibilities

- Plan and moderate cross-functional RCA workshops covering software, process, quality, testing, safety, cybersecurity, and supplier-related issues.

- Apply structured problem-solving methods including 8D, Fishbone or Ishikawa, 5-Why, and 3 5 Why Analysis.

- Guide teams in distinguishing symptoms, direct causes, contributing factors, root causes, and systemic causes.

- Facilitate 3 5 Why analysis across occurrence, non-detection, and systemic or process causes.

- Define and track containment, corrective, preventive, and systemic improvement actions.

- Verify action effectiveness, monitor recurrence, and review RCA or 8D reports for quality and timely closure.

- Identify recurring trends and translate findings into lessons learned and process improvements.

- Train and coach project teams and RCA facilitators while promoting an evidence-based, blame-free problem-solving culture.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Software, Electronics, Automotive, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.

- Strong experience in automotive software development, software quality, testing, or process improvement.





- Hands-on experience moderating complex, cross-functional RCA workshops.

- Practical expertise in 8D, Fishbone, 5-Why, and 3 5 Why methodologies.

- Valuable understanding of the automotive software development lifecycle.

- Strong analytical, facilitation, conflict-resolution, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

- Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

Preferred Experience

- Knowledge of Automotive SPICE, functional safety, cybersecurity, or software quality assurance.

- Experience with FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, CAPA, Pareto Analysis, and Lessons Learned.

- Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, SharePoint, or comparable engineering tools.

- Experience working with global teams, automotive suppliers, or OEMs.

- Quality and timely closure of RCA and 8D reports.

- Effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
