Coimbatore - Office-based - Student Interaction Vibedu Study Abroad is seeking an enthusiastic and student-focused Education Counsellor for our Coimbatore office. The role involves guiding students and parents through overseas education options, admissions and application processes while ensuring a high-quality counselling experience.
Responsibilities
- Counsel students and parents on study abroad options, universities, courses, eligibility and admission requirements.
- Assess student profiles and recommend suitable countries, universities and programs.
- Handle student inquiries through walk-ins, calls, emails and online platforms.
- Guide students through the end-to-end admission process, including applications and documentation.
- Coordinate with internal teams for offer letters, confirmations and visa processing.
- Maintain accurate student records, follow-ups and application status in CRM systems.
- Achieve individual counselling and application targets.
- Participate in student seminars, education fairs and promotional events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with students and parents.
- Stay updated on international education trends, university requirements and visa regulations.
Eligibility Requirements
- Bachelors degree in any discipline
- 1+ years of experience in study abroad counselling
- Strong communication, counselling and interpersonal skills
- Student-centric approach with good problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple students and deadlines effectively
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools
Preferred Skills
- Experience handling UK, Canada, Australia, USA or Europe admissions
- Multilingual skills (Tamil English preferred)
- Passion for helping students achieve their educational goals
- Solid analytical and decision-making capabilities
