Role Description The Area Academics Head is responsible for overseeing academic implementation and performance across a defined region, ensuring that Next Education’s curricula, learning solutions, and teaching practices are effectively adopted by partner schools. This full-time, hybrid role is based in Bengaluru, with a mix of on-site school visits and office collaboration, along with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding school leadership and educators on curriculum planning, monitoring learning outcomes, and ensuring alignment with board guidelines and Next Education standards.





The role involves conducting academic audits, organizing training and career development sessions for teachers, and reviewing classroom practices to promote consistent quality.

The Area Academics

Head also collaborates with internal product, content, and support teams to provide feedback from the field, resolve academic challenges, and contribute to continuous improvement of Next Education’s solutions.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Educational Management and Education, with experience overseeing academic operations in schools or learning centers.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Curriculum Development, including designing, implementing, or evaluating K–12 curriculum aligned with educational standards.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, with the ability to present, train, and build relationships with school leaders, teachers, and internal teams.
- Candidates should possess proven Team Management skills, including leading academic teams, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, and mentoring educators.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Education or a related field; familiarity with CBSE, ICSE, and state boards is highly beneficial.
- Experience in edtech, school leadership, teacher training, or academic coordination, along with strong analytical, planning, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Comfort with technology-driven learning platforms and data-based decision-making to monitor academic performance and drive improvement.
