Company Description Dockendale Training Academy is the in house training arm of Dockendale Ship Management Group, a global ship manager founded in 1973 with a strong focus on the dry bulk segment. The Academy develops the competence of both seagoing and shore based personnel through structured classroom, practical, and simulator based training aligned to DSM quality standards. Backed by a group of more than 3,000 seafarers and over 100 onshore staff across Dubai, the Philippines, India, and Hong Kong, the Academy plays a central role in building the skills that keep our fleet operating safely and reliably.
Role Description Dockendale Training Academy is hiring a Training Superintendent (Engine) in Mumbai. The Training Superintendent leads the development and delivery of training programs that lift the performance of both seagoing and shore based personnel. You will prepare and deliver courses, assess seafarers, keep our training aligned with DSM quality standards,
and help shape the annual training plan.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and deliver classroom based training for engine officers and ratings
Prepare and review courses in line with company procedures and quality standards
Evaluate and assess seafarers on knowledge retention and practical application
Maintain training equipment, simulators and facilities in a state of readiness
Support internal and external audits and contribute to the annual training plan
Qualifications
Must have sailed as Chief Engineer
Must have delivered classroom based training
Experience delivering the ERM course is a strong plus
VICT/TOTA mandatory, 6.10 (TSTA) and 3.10 (AECS) preferred
Sound working knowledge of STCW standards
Solid communication and presentation skills
Preferably based in Mumbai
