Draftsman – Commercial Interiors

Location: Bangalore

Working Days: Mon to Sat

Office Time: 9.30am to 6.30pm

About Us

REDS | Rubenius Interior Wellbeing specializes in commercial interiors, experience centres, workplace design, retail, hospitality, and design & build solutions. We are looking for an experienced Draftsman with strong commercial interior experience to prepare accurate and detailed drawings required for design development, execution, and project handover.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed 2D working drawings for commercial interior fit-out projects.
- Develop plans, elevations, sections, ceiling layouts, flooring layouts, furniture layouts, and detailed construction drawings.
- Prepare detailed drawings for partitions, joinery, furniture, doors, glazing, wall treatments, and other interior elements.
- Develop shop drawings and execution drawings based on design intent and site requirements.
- Coordinate drawings with architectural, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire, and other MEP requirements.
- Review drawings for accuracy, dimensions, levels, specifications, and constructability.
- Incorporate design revisions and client/consultant comments into drawings.
- Coordinate with Interior Designers, Project Managers, Site Engineers, vendors, and contractors.
- Conduct site measurements and prepare as-built drawings wherever required.
- Prepare drawings based on actual site conditions and identify discrepancies between drawings and site conditions.
- Ensure drawings are issued to site in a timely manner as per project requirements.
- Maintain proper drawing registers, revision control, and documentation.
- Support the project team during execution by providing clarifications and revised drawings.




- Prepare detailed drawings for custom furniture, joinery, and interior elements wherever required.
- Ensure all drawings follow company standards, project specifications, and approved design intent.

Requirements

- Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience as a Draftsman in commercial interior fit-out projects.
- Commercial interior experience is mandatory. Candidates with only residential, infrastructure, or unrelated drafting experience will not be considered.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and preparation of detailed working drawings.
- Good understanding of commercial interior construction and execution methodologies.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, interior, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Experience in preparing joinery, furniture, ceiling, flooring, partition, and detailed construction drawings.
- Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or other drafting/design software is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of dimensions, materials, construction details, and site conditions.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work under tight project timelines and manage multiple drawing requirements.
