DIRECTOR TRAINING & TEACHING EXCELLENCE
Purpose of the Role To strengthen the quality of teaching, classroom engagement, pedagogy, teacher capability and academic delivery across the Groups CBSE and Cambridge schools through systematic classroom observation, teacher development, training need identification and continuous follow-
up.
The role requires a senior academic professional with practical exposure to both CBSE and
Cambridge curricula, with the ability to understand the pedagogical expectations, assessment approaches and classroom practices of both systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. Classroom Observation & Teaching Quality Review
- Regularly observe classroom teaching across CBSE and Cambridge schools.
- Evaluate lesson delivery, student engagement, questioning techniques, differentiated instruction, experiential learning and classroom management.
- Identify teacher-wise and school-wise areas of development.
- Maintain structured, professional and confidential observation records.
• Provide developmental feedback to teachers and academic leaders.
- Teacher Training Need Analysis
- Prepare a systematic Training Need Analysis (TNA) based on classroom observations,
student learning needs, school priorities and board requirements.
- Identify common and individual capability gaps among teachers.
- Prepare annual, term-wise and monthly teacher development plans.
• Ensure that training is need-based rather than activity-based.
- Pedagogy Development Promote and train teachers in effective teaching methodologies including:
- Experiential and inquiry-based learning
- Project-based and problem-based learning
- Collaborative learning
- Differentiated instruction
- Case-based learning
- Role play and simulations
- Discussion and questioning techniques
• Formative assessment

- Support teachers in understanding the pedagogical expectations of both CBSE and
Cambridge curricula.
- Guide appropriate lesson planning, assessment practices and student engagement strategies for each board.
- Help schools maintain the distinct academic philosophy and delivery requirements of the respective boards.
- Facilitate sharing of relevant best practices across schools without diluting board-specific requirements.
- Faculty Development & Training Execution
- Conduct internal training programmes, workshops, demonstration lessons and academic clinics.
- Identify capable internal trainers and mentor teachers.
- Coordinate with HR and School Leadership for execution of training plans.
- Identify and recommend suitable external trainers, subject experts and education consultants wherever specialized intervention is required.
- Build a structured annual teacher development calendar.
- Post-Training Effectiveness
- Revisit classrooms after training interventions.
- Evaluate whether identified teaching practices have actually improved.
- Measure application of learning rather than only participation in training.
- Recommend follow-up mentoring or additional interventions wherever required.
- Track teacher development over time.
- Leadership Support
- Work closely with Principals, Academic Coordinators, Section Heads and School
Leadership.
- Support Principals in strengthening academic culture and teacher performance.
- Provide school-wise teaching quality reports and actionable recommendations.
- Assist in developing internal academic mentors and future instructional leaders.

- Identify teachers demonstrating innovative and high-impact classroom practices.
- Develop a repository of lesson plans, activities, teaching strategies and assessment practices.
- Facilitate peer observation, demonstration classes and cross-school academic learning.
- Promote a culture of continuous career development.

Qualification & Experience
- Postgraduate qualification in Education / relevant academic discipline.
- B.Ed. / M.Ed. preferred.
- Minimum 1215 years of experience in school education, including significant experience in teacher development, academic leadership or instructional supervision.
- Hands-on experience with both CBSE and Cambridge curricula is mandatory.
- Prior experience as Principal, Academic Head, Training Head, Cambridge Coordinator,
CBSE Academic Coordinator, School Director or senior teacher trainer will be preferred.

Nature of the Position
This is a full-time academic development and teacher capability-building role with responsibility across the Groups CBSE and Cambridge schools.
The Director will not function merely as a training coordinator. The position will carry end-to-
end accountability for:
