Project Execution & Site Management
Supervise Installation: Oversee the in office setup of HVAC units, ductwork, piping, and control panels to match approved blueprints.
Monitor Progress: Track daily site work against the project timeline and budget constraints.
Solve Technical Issues: Fix field problems and address design mismatches during construction
Coordination & Communication
Liaise with Teams: Work closely with design engineers, procurement staff, main contractors, and safety personnel.
Client Updates: Report project status regularly to clients and consultants.
Cross-Trade Integration: Align HVAC installation with electrical, plumbing, and civil engineering work.
Core Site Execution Responsibilities
Daily Progress Tracking: Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPRs) and Weekly Progress Reports (WPRs) to ensure the project meets strict construction deadlines.
Manpower & Subcontractor Management: Allocate tasks to technicians, duct fitters, and pipe welders. You are responsible for their daily productivity and output.
Material Management (Store & Site):
Receive incoming HVAC materials (chillers, AHUs, dampers, pipes, insulation), verify quantities against the Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and raise Material Inspection Requests (MIRs).
Workplace Coordination: Coordinate with civil, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and interior fit-out teams to prevent space clashes (e.g., ensuring duct routing clears structural beams and cable trays).
Quality Assurance (QA/QC): Ensure all installations follow Approved For Construction (AFC) drawings, SMACNA standards (for ducting), and ASME codes (for piping).
Testing, Adjusting, & Balancing (TAB): Conduct essential field tests including duct leakage tests, hydro testing of chilled water pipes, and final air/water balancing before handover.
