Job Summary

The Apparel Merchandiser is responsible for managing the complete merchandising cycle for garment products, from order development to final shipment. The role involves coordinating with buyers, vendors, production teams, quality departments, and logistics to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Order Management
Handle apparel orders from development to shipment.
Coordinate with buyers regarding product specifications, costing, sampling, and approvals.
Prepare Time & Action (T&A;) calendars and monitor production schedules.
Ensure order execution according to buyer requirements and deadlines.

Sampling & Development
Coordinate development samples, fit samples, pre-production samples, and shipment samples.
Communicate buyer comments to production and technical teams.
Follow up on fabric, trims, and accessories approvals.

Production Coordination
Work closely with production, sourcing, and planning teams.
Monitor production status and resolve issues affecting timelines.
Ensure smooth workflow between factories and buyers.

Vendor & Supplier Management
Coordinate with fabric mills, trim suppliers,



and subcontractors.
Track material availability and procurement schedules.
Negotiate pricing and maintain cost targets.

Quality & Compliance
Ensure product quality standards meet buyer expectations.
Coordinate with QA/QC teams during inline and final inspections.
Maintain compliance with company and buyer standards.

Documentation & Reporting
Maintain merchandising files, order sheets, and production reports.
Prepare costing sheets, purchase orders, and shipment documents.
Update management and buyers on order progress regularly.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, Fashion Design, Business Administration, or related field.
2–5 years of experience in apparel merchandising or garment export industry.
Knowledge of garment manufacturing processes and fabric types.
Robust understanding of costing, sourcing, and production planning.

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹21,000.00 per month
